Chapter 1073: Athena’s Salvation

The Devil was angry and it kicked against the ground, rushing for her.

Through the feel of the earth beneath her, she could see this.

Men did a lot of crazy things when they were angry. How much more a Devil. Deep down, Athena could tell that the easiest she was going to get from the devil would probably be having her legs eaten out. Just so that she did not do such a thing ever again.

The thought of it sent her mind racing wildly as adrenaline like a flooding storm rushed into her entire being at such a time, the zeal and determination to survive fueled her latent ability and that was when it happened.

for only barely a second, she connected with the blood smeared on the body of the Hell beast baby.

*BOOM!*

It was as if she had smacked its behind, as her blood sent a jolt of energy through its hard rock skin, into its body.

She had smacked the baby Hell beast so hard that it made it stagger a bit, and it wailed to the sky in its pain. This was obviously a wail that its mother heard.

Immediately, she turned about to see the charging Devil.

Her one inverted eye, frowned in obvious anger, and then came a sonic attack that weirdly enough, moved in a straight line.

It proceeded from her Ant eater like nose. aimed right at the devil.

luckily, it landed right when it had leaped high into the air before it could land on Athena.

*BOOM!*

It was a defining blast that not only sent it flying back, but instantly evaporated one of its arms. The devil screeched as it fell to the ground, somersaulting to the side.

However, it did not lay there on the ground, as if it knew that it was in danger, it rolled on the ground, but using the momentum, it sprang back up and instantly fled diving out of the way before another attack that destroyed the earth were it was reached its position.

Again and again the Hell beast mother attacked but the Devil was cunny, rushing to hide behind rocks as if fleed from sight.

The Hell beast mother, obviously proud of her work of chasing away a threat to her baby, screeched to the sky, which made devils around the place rush to hide.

After which, she shook her head again, carrying a aura of confidence as she continued her advance.

On the other hand, Athena could finally have some relief, breathing heavily. However, she was no fool. She knew that she couldn’t stay here.

At least the last devil was willing to play with its food, by hunting her day and night. She could not help but imagine what the next one was going to do.

Through her pain, gritting her teeth as hard as she could, she stood to her feet, and staggered as she followed the family behind. staggering along the way, but she had no choice, she had to keep moving.

The Hell beasts continued moving for another three kilometers, a painful walk that Athena had to grind through, and felt incredible relief when she saw them stop to rest.

She too fell to the ground. At the moment, her energy supply in her body had become so low that she had to shut off some of her organs so that the others may have more and survive. This included one of her lungs and one kidney.

Luckily, this was another privilege that came with this new ability that she now had. She could control the cells in her body by listening and observing how they communicated and the way energy followed in and through them.

At this point, she was already considering eating a part of her body. Something like the liver, just a section of it. After all, it would grow back in time.

that way, she could regulate energy for other parts of her body, and maybe make attempt at healing. Which was another hassle all together, as the creation of new cells was very very consuming of a lot of energy, one that she could not spare at the moment.

At such a time, she noticed what was ahead.

It was a tall meadow, not plants that she recognized, but then again, to the best of her uneducated mind, anything that grew from the ground was potential food.

And in a way, she was right. These plants, so tall that they were the size of the Hell beast mother were thick, and had thorns on their bodies.

These thorns., when Athena observed closely were actually human souls, wailing and begging for their torment to end.

She had seen torment of different kinds, but this was the first time that she was seeing one like this.

The souls looked to be a part of the plant, and at its crown which formed a flower was petals with entangled people, molded together like the stiches on a cloth until they formed petals.

And within the petals, those that had blossomed, were human beings, acting as the stigma and the stamen.

Surprisingly enough, Both the stigma and the stamen were upside down with the Stigma all being male humans with erections, and the stamen being a bunch of females whose knees had been cut off but had their legs spread out, as if inviting someone to come take advantage of them.

Athena could also see that they were giant insects landing on the petals, stealing nectar. These insects were obvious a different kind of Hell beasts.

As they drank from the Flowers, screams of people could be heard in ear gritting pain.

The Hell beast mother like the other hell beast did not care about this at all, as she plucked down some of the huge flowers, and then presenting them to her kids, a total of three to feed on.
