Chapter 1084: Athena’s Connection To Hell Beasts

Chapter 1084: Athena’s Connection To Hell Beasts

Then again, Hector being Alive or not was of nothing to her at the moment. As much as she felt guilty about it, there was absolutely nothing she could do about it. At least not now. All she could do was survive and live for herself.

And so she stood to her feet, feeling better and rejuvenated. Virgil had given her a task. It had been a relatively simple one. All she had to do was stop the devils from breaking the seal that held the corpse family.

From what she had seen them do, it would only take the devils about another month and then they would be done with it.

Meaning she had to come up with a plan before that time.

The obvious most effective thing she could do was kill that Devil with purple eyes that was obviously in charge of the work. Then again, that was a very impossible task.

This was hell. In this place, there was nothing that ruled more than one’s person al power and the fear of it. This meant that those thousands of devils that were doing its work for it were all afraid of it. Meaning that it must be of incredible strength.

To say that she was going to challenge the devil to a fight would be a literal death sentence on her own head. Athena did not consider herself so foolish.

Even if she did not need to go through the horde to face it, she did not believe that she was of the strength to face that thing. Killing it was just a pipe dream.

And so she did not proceed for something so obviously foolish.

Instead, she had a better idea as to how she was going to get back at the devils. Of course, she was not so sure that it would work, but her senses told her the possibility was high.

She mounted the Hell beast baby and then she patted its head a bit. She smiled, "lets go visit your old pals a little." the Hell beast acknowledging her words, moved in a certain direction, tracing the path they had come through.

Since she had been feeding on its sibling, their bond had only deepened. It was as if she could understand the energy that came from the Hell beast as the hell beast could also understand hers, and as such they could communicate effectively enough.

The trip back took a couple of days.

Athena had not realized how far they had actually gone until it was time to trace the path back.

However, they still made the journey. After a while, they reached a huge cave.

Athena did not remember them going through this cave, but then again, when they did, she was passed out on the hell beast.

She could feel a lot more chaos energy proceeding from within and was very tempted to turn about and leave. Maybe find another route to take.

But the information that she got from the hell beast stated that this was the only way.

She had no choice but to take this route

but Athena was no fool. she could smell a battle from a mile away and could tell that she was heading into one. The last time they had followed this route, the hell beast mother must have been the reason why the trip was so safe.

She was going to prepare first. And so she searched around the place. Finding Hell beast remains was not so hard. The true work wa sin finding ones that were like the last one she had.

Basically, she was searching for quality. This was much harder to find, and of course after about three days, of searching, she found one of incredible strength.

With her searching and analyzing of the bones of these incredible creatures, Athena had discovered some very peculiar things. she realized that some had more runes on them than others.

It was almost very exact in differentiation, and so far, she had been able to classify them into four.

Of course, because of her nearness to the magistri back on earth, she had a bit of knowledge concerning Hell beast classification, but seeing it first hand was a different experience entirely.

through the number and quality of runes on their remains, she could tell their hell beast rank.

It was clear to Athena that these beasts had not died as a result of growing old as Hell beasts had life spans that could go for hundreds of thousands of years.

Meaning that these hell Beasts had died as a result of battles. some of them from a superior hell beast, and some others as a result of accidents. But not withstanding, their bones told her stories of their own. When she touched the bones, she could feel a connection to the runes on them, and tell how strong the hell beasts were.

It was a much clearer feeling now that she had fed on the hell beast for a long time. It was as if she could almost hear the whispers of these beasts, and the struggles they went through before they left the world.

The more she observed, the more she wanted to observe. What she did not know was that along the line, every set of beast bone she had come across, had left its mark on her.

Gathering what she needed, to make a few weapons, she carried a sack filled with arrows, spears, knifes and swords, all make from Hell beast bones.

What Athena did not know was that Hell beast bones were not supposed to be so easily used. After all, they were one of the strongest materials in the world. But when she touched them, they conformed to her will.

Athena was not aware that if the Demons of the royal family were to see this, even the Elders of the families would look at her speechless.

Soon, she was done, and it was time to explore the cave, the last obstacle to the reach the location of the Ancestor hell beasts that were shackled.

(Author’s note: Don’t worry, I’ll soon be done with Athena’s side. Its just that her story affects Lenny’s in a very critical manner, this cannot be avoided.)
