Chapter 1135: Lilith’s Plan For The Kids 2

Chapter 1135: Lilith’s Plan For The Kids 2

Lilith’s journey through the shadowy expanse of the underworld led her to the foot of a grand and ominous castle. It was unlike anything she had ever seen.

The structure towered above her, impossibly vast, its spires reaching into the swirling void above. At first glance, it seemed to be carved from the very essence of death itself, the dark stone shimmering with a cold, ghostly light. Yet, despite the overwhelming aura of decay and finality, there was an unsettling beauty to it. The walls were adorned with intricate carvings, each depicting scenes of life and death entwined in a dance, as though death itself were an art form, sculpted into the very bones of the castle.

The architecture was hauntingly elegant, with archways and towers that curved in impossible directions, blending the boundaries of life and the afterlife. There was no sign of ruin, only a strange perfection, as if every brick and stone had been laid by a master of both life and death, with a precision that defied mortal understanding.

The castle, Death’s castle, gleamed in places with what appeared to be silver veins, twisting through the stone like the flow of time itself.

At the foot of the enormous stairway leading to the castle doors, stood ’Death’s daughters.’ They were tall, ethereal beings, their forms draped in black veils that flowed like shadows around them. They moved with a grace that suggested they did not walk but rather floated just above the ground, their faces hidden beneath their veils, revealing only the pale glow of hollow eyes. In their hands, they carried baskets filled with black rose petals, which they gently scattered in Lilith’s path.

The petals themselves seemed to carry the essence of finality—each one floating through the air with a weightless beauty before softly touching the ground, their fragrance thick with the scent of forgotten dreams and lost souls. As the petals fell, they left behind a trail of blackened flowers, an offering for the one who had journeyed this far into Death’s realm.

One of the daughters, her voice soft and melodic yet filled with an eerie echo, began to chant in a low, repetitive tone, "The Mother-in-law is here." The phrase hung in the air like a solemn proclamation, repeated over and over with reverence as the daughters continued to scatter petals, their movements synchronized as if guided by an unseen hand. Each recitation was accompanied by a soft bow of their heads, acknowledging Lilith’s arrival.

...

Meanwhile,

And so Virgil turned to his prey, the easiest of them to attack. "Grammelion," he called towards the Power of greed, "if you are here, then who is it that protects your Primary plane and all its riches, or have you placed it in a lock under your bed?"

Grammelion chuckled a bit, "Nice try Virgil, I know what you are trying to do, and I’ll tell you this, for your good, it is not going to work. I and the other powers are united in our course. We are here to bleed the Leviathan family of their pockets."

Although he said this, Virgil was not swayed by his words. Instead, he pushed further. "I see. And that is a good thing. However, although hell is at the end of the cosmos, we still get news. You know the souls talk, especially when they have been tortured enough, and you will not believe the wealth of good news they bring. You know, about a certain desire The Gluttony family have about a certain primary plane.." Virgil acted as if he was willing to spill secrets, but held his tongue back. Covering his mouth with a hand.

"Don’t mind me, I shouldn’t talk about the eighth earth here, after all, this is a battle in the first place. And you are here to pillage a poor family while another targets the Eighth earth, a primary plane that rightfully belongs to you, or is that not true...? " Virgil turned towards the armada of the family of Gluttony.

"Congratulations are in order Baaldrith, the first Royal Demon family to own three Earths all at once."

Those words struck the curiosity of the other Demon families, and once more Virgil acted innocent on the matter, "Wait, Malachor you didn’t know? But is it not obvious, I mean the Gluttony family did not even bring their best soldiers to this fight."

Malachor frowned hard. Obviously, his anger was rising steadily. He was not like the other royal families and did not seek benefits in this battle, only an outlet to pour out his rage and malice.

However, it would indeed become an insult if it was true that the Gluttony family had other plans.

"Grammelion, is what the trash says true?" Malachor asked, and all eyes gathered here turned towards the Gluttony family.

"He lies, there is much wealth here, I wouldn’t want to lose it to another."

Malachor nodded, after all, those words made sense in a way.

Even Lustrinia could tell that the plan to sow discord amongst them had failed.

Or had it?

Virgil’s next words broke the camel’s back.

"Oh, if you think so, then why not let the other families know your honesty? Behind me is hell, come on, go ahead and strike the first blow."

Virgil’s words took them by surprise. After all, he was effectively telling them to attack.

However, they had indeed come here for battle.

But no one here was a fool. Even the Abaddon family of destruction who was always hungry for battle did not attack immediately.

That was because fighting off the Leviathan family was one thing, and going through the cup-bearers of hell was another.

The plan was to kill the Leviathan family, naturally, they were not expecting to go through cupbearers and even if they did, one or two of them at most, and not an organised combat group.

The cupbearers were only six hundred and sixty-four in number. Compared to the thousands of demons of all the families that had arrived, it was nothing.

However, there was something profound about the cupbearers that no one could refute, after all, they had been the police of the Royal families during the reign of the Morningstar.

Even more so, everyone here knew of a fact that the first person to attack hell would be the first to receive the burn of theory skin.

Chaos magic was a very tricky solution to many battles, one the Morningstar had used properly.

If Lilith was anything capable like her husband had been, then it was true that fighting was going to result in losses on all sides.

However, Virgil saw this as an opportunity. Besides, these demons were not trusting of each other in the first place.

"Do you see it now, Malachor, the Greed family, known for their hunger for wealth do not want to attack? They plan to wait and attack you lot behind your back. In fact as I speak now, they are even seeking to increase their power, and eat up the eighth earth, or is that not so?"

Virgil suddenly waved his hands motioning for the cupbearers to give way, as if inviting the royal Demon families to pass.

Another action that surprised them.

Hell was a primary plane, but even the Morningstar had not conjured its core. Because no one could reach it.

Declaring king of a primary plane would only be achieved by the core.

It was by it that the other royal families had occupied their primary planes and anointed family members therefore increasing their strength to the current ranks they possess.

Because none could reach hell’s core, it was tagged as a very useless primary plane.

That was why the royal families left to conquer other worlds in the first place.

This means that aside from the Leviathan family, battling in this place was useless.

But if one were to manage to make it to another primary plane and take its core, then the power dynamic between the families that were already stranded and unbalanced would break completely.

Now, even Lustrinia looked at the other riyal demons with suspicion.

Astraelia suddenly growled to the sky, her power shaking the void as fire blazed all around her throne., "Enough of this! ATTACK and bring everything to the ground."

The Abaddon family of destruction rushed forward and it seemed like the other Demon familes had snapped back to reality and virgil’s words had finally touched the ground.

All the others also rushed to attack.

The Hell’s Cup bearers got ready for battle, their chaos energy threatening to break time and space around them.

But Virgil suddenly raised his hand, let them pass.

He had a smoke on his face.

Hector, now know as Moranda stepped forward, willing to disobey orders and attack as he wished.

But Virgil had a particular look in his eyes as he stared his way.

"Remember Moranda, your numbers used to be six hundred and sixty-six. But now six hundred and sixty four. In all your hundreds of thousands of years, my queen was the first to reduce that number. Don’t make it six hundred and sixty-five three."

With Vigil’s cold stare, the threat was obvious. Moranda gritted his teeth. But like the others, he did as he was told.

And then just when the families had rushed over to bombard hell, two families stayed behind.

The first was unsurprisingly the GREED family, and the second was the Sloth Family.

From within the mouth of his ancient whale, lying on its tongue as if it was the most comfortable bed, the power of Sloth, Zolgorith.

"Hmmm... Grammelion my friend, do you not desire to take the Leviathan family as initially intended?" Zolgorith spoke slowly, as if his tongue was tired of working and yet, it had attractiveness to it. As if he was to be pitied for his bloodline situation.

And yet, his eyes were those of one that had incredible intelligence.

Grammelion took his time but he eventually answered, "I no longer wish to be here.... Mmmm something of importance has come up."

"Oh, something that would need the special attention of a Power, and not even the elders under your principalities can handle?...Mmmm..."
