Chapter 1149: Another Family Member

Her punches came in quick succession, and even Lenny with his incredible power could not block himself totally. All he could do was allow his fingers move as he weaved runes with unimaginable speed in his defence.

But this here was exactly the problem.

Lamastu was not using runes to fight, but rather had imbued her body with laws. They shattered the defensive runes like it was glass.

Just when she had smashed through the last one, attempting to break his face in, a red fist came from nowhere, literally smashing her face in a deafening PUNCH.

The hit was so profound that it had lamastu tumbling in the air, before she landed a few distance away, smashing into a wall, and then creating a huge crater in the ground.

Lenny stood up to his feet, cracking his arm back in place. his muscles felt sore, which was very rare for one of his power level.

However, he turned to the person that had aided him. It was none other than Tomato. This Shedevil was what lenny called a muscle brain. She did not have chaos magic like the other devils, but she made up for that by having incredible strength, and now that lenny looked closely, she had a resistance for not just magic, but also runes and therefore, against a measure of law.

This was most evident in the fact that Lamastu rose from the ground with a bloody nose.

However, he noticed something, in her hand was the pouch that had been around his waist. somehow, within the fight, she had actually managed to steal it.

And then she threw the bag towards Naamah, "catch sister!"

Naamah caught it and opened it. She brought out the Orb from within. Naamah smiled, "You know, you should be proud. We are about to open Purgatory. In there is your master’s core. Of course, we will be taking that profound power for ourselves. Even though you got it from the Corrupter, I doubt you even know what this is. I don’t mind telling you. It is the Key. At least one half of it.

It took us a long time of trial and error to even discover that this key exists. We may not have the other half, but with just this one, and our might, combined with all the souls of this plane that we have sacrificed for hundreds of years, and the birthed soul of the twin planes, we will be able to break the seal and take the Morningstar’s Codex for ourselves."

On saying this, she merged the page from the book of death with the Orb and a profound light glowed from it. Runes glowed around her. They were white as if the souls from within the pages had taken form in the runes and they danced above her hands.

Instantly, as if called by an unforseen force, it rose from her hand with incredible speed towards the sky.

Lenny saw this and frowned. He was of the opinion of opening Purgatory. After all, he too was after the Morningstar’s core, but letting these two women get their hands on the core was totally out of the question.

Stopping what was happening was not the goal. The goal was stopping the sisters. But evidently, the only way he was going to stand a fight with Lamastu was if he went Berserker . With his current abilities, the amount of power he would be able to deliver with berserker should even be able to make an entire plane shake at its core.

But after that, he would become very vulnerable to attacks. This much, he did not want to happen. As such, he was going to do something else.

He looked to his side, at Tomato. "This should work!"

Immediately, he sent it.

Tomato suddenly received the message in her mind. <You have Been Selected to join the Lenny Family, do You accept?>

The Shedevil was surprised by this and she turned to Lenny.

He nodded at her. She did not know what this was about. But right now, both of them were on the same side. If Lenny was offering, then it was because this was useful in their battle.

Immediately, she accepted.

And then it happened.

As Tomato stood before Lenny, something within her stirred—an ancient power, an unholy strength that was now being infused with something entirely new all the way from Demeter far across the cosmos.

Her devilish form began to shift as she accepted the title granted to her by Lenny. The transformation started slow, but it soon escalated, taking on a life of its own.

Her tail, grew longer and thicker, its surface now lined with sharp, menacing spikes that glinted under the strange light. Her horns, already wickedly curved, lengthened even further, twisting upward like jagged spires. But it was what surrounded them that shocked even her. A white, blinding light began to radiate from her body, engulfing her like a halo. It was not the devil chaos fire she was accustomed to—this was something pure, holy. It felt wrong, but also right, as if this power was transforming her very essence.

Normally, such a thing should not have been possible. She was a devil, a creature born of Corruption and sin, inherently incompatible with the holy light that now surrounded her. But this was different.

Her aura was overwhelming, a terrifying mix of chaotic might and holy strength, making her nearly unrecognizable from the devil she had been moments before.

The symbol of the Lenny Family, the soul bind was on her bare full chest, crested black.

She looked down at herself, marveling at the sheer energy coursing through her veins.

Lenny had given her a gift—one no devil had ever possessed before.
