Chapter 1152: QI User Is A Threat 2
...Yet, despite the lack of visible threats or weapons, Lenny couldn’t shake the sense of impending danger. Seraphiel stood there, casual and unbothered, but there was an air around him—a presence that made Lenny’s instincts scream to be on high alert. The fact that Agent ’X’, with all his power, lay defeated beneath Seraphiel’s foot, bleeding and broken, was evidence enough that this elf boy was far more dangerous than he appeared.
Seraphiel’s eyes, sharp and ancient, never left Lenny as if sizing him up. There was a calm amusement in his gaze, one that only a predator showed when toying with its prey.
Lenny had faced countless foes, beings from different realms with power beyond comprehension, but something about Seraphiel felt different.
Seraphiel glanced at Lenny with an almost dismissive look as he spoke calmly, "I’ll deal with you soon, boy. But first... I need to finish what I started."
Without any further warning, his fingers pierced Agent ’X’s chest like it was made of soft clay. Blood spurted from the wound, but more disturbingly, golden light began to flow from Agent ’X’s body into Seraphiel’s. Lenny watched as the stream of golden energy, lined with intricate rune symbols, snaked out of Agent ’X’ and into Seraphiel like threads of fate being unwound.
Lenny’s eyes narrowed as he recognized the symbols—the same ones that adorned his own chest, the mark of Lucifer, the curse and power that tied his bloodline to the Morningstar. He remembered seeing that exact mark on his son’s body. The mark wasn’t just a symbol—it was a brand, burned onto the souls of his ancestors and passed down through each generation of his family. This much, he was now certain of.
Seraphiel was no doubt related to him by bloodline.
Lenny counted the rune marks as they were drawn from Agent ’X’. Each one seemed to represent a life, a generation that had carried this burden and died because of it. One after another, they flowed into Seraphiel, making him more powerful with each passing second.
Seraphiel’s aura intensified, a heavy and oppressive force that pressed down on the entire battlefield. Lenny could feel it—this guy, who had already defeated a Principality, was now growing even stronger. The thought of what Seraphiel could do once he finished absorbing all that power was something Lenny wasn’t willing to find out.
Without hesitation, Lenny’s instincts kicked in. His eyes blazed with determination as he waved his hand, summoning a massive blast of holy power. The air crackled with energy as the blinding beam of white flames shot toward both Seraphiel and Agent ’X’, aiming to disrupt the grotesque transfer of power.
The blast shot forward, pure and unrelenting, tearing through the atmosphere with divine intensity.
An explosion rang out, the sound echoing across the shattered landscape. When the flames finally cleared, Seraphiel remained standing, his fingers stretched toward the fiery blast that Lenny had fired. The flames had been parted, divided into two by his sheer will, but they had not left him unscathed. Scars marred his skin, and parts of his clothes were burned, leaving patches of exposed flesh. Even Agent ’X’ had not been spared—his body, now resembling a charred lump of burnt meat, lay at Seraphiel’s feet.
With a frown of disgust, Seraphiel tossed what remained of Agent ’X’ to the ground, as though discarding useless trash. His voice was sharp with anger as he spoke, "Holy Power. I’ve always hated that wretched energy. It’s the only force that can actually compare to my Qi—my mastery of energy and control. All other magics fall short, terribly short. But that’s because Holy Power stems from the very origin of creation itself."
He paused, glaring at Lenny, before a dark smirk crept onto his face. "But no matter. I’ll show you why the mastery of Qi is revolutionary. After all, you are my great-great-grandson and the Morningstar’s chosen. Let’s see how good you really are."
With those words, Seraphiel suddenly ripped off his shirt, revealing his well-carved, battle-hardened muscles. His body moved fluidly, almost as if he were dancing in the air. With each motion, a profound grace emanated from him, and then he shifted into a stance. His movements ended in an ancient Tai Chi pose, known as the Divine Flow of Heaven and Earth—an intricate stance that harmonized both offense and defense in perfect unity. The symbol of Yin and Yang manifested beneath his feet, glowing with energy.
Seraphiel waved his hand at Lenny, his eyes alight with challenge. "Come at me, boy. Let me show you what true talent is."
Lenny frowned. He could feel the weight of the challenge in Seraphiel’s stance, a precision that seemed otherworldly. For some reason, he instinctively understood that using his sword in this battle would be a disadvantage. The stance Seraphiel had taken was too intricate, too specialized for direct swordplay. This was going to be a test of pure martial skill.
But with a grim and cunny resolve, Lenny bombarded Seraphiel with more flames of Holy Power, the radiant energy surging toward him like a tidal wave.
Seraphiel merely waved his hands, as if they were covered by an invisible force. He twisted through the air, his fingers dancing like the wind, and to Lenny’s shock, the flames were caught and manipulated—spun into a ball of energy that Seraphiel hurled back at him.
Lenny dodged just in time, the flaming sphere crashing into the ground behind him. He glanced at Seraphiel and understood: this battle would be fought hand to hand.
Without hesitation, Lenny landed on the ground, his eyes locking with Seraphiel’s. He waved his hand, ripping off his own shirt, revealing his well-defined muscles and the burning mark of the Morningstar on his chest. Taking a deep breath, he assumed his stance—a Muay Thai stance, his body ready for brutal, close-quarters combat.
Seraphiel smiled, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. The stage was set. Both warriors stood ready, prepared to clash in a battle of skill and strength.
Meanwhile, The shield around Purgatory was slowly breaking open. And with it came the cries of an entity that resounded across the cosmos as a sad song. All that had ears sensitive enough, could hear it. The seal was in pain.
