Chapter 1163: It All Falls In Place

Lenny found himself lost. He was like a lone boat in the middle of a stormy sea with no idea for the right direction, and threatening waves, pleaded his demise.

Ironically, his eyes looked back at those waves and all he wanted to do was sink into them.

Lenny had always prided himself in his ability to figure out people, to find his way and make the best of it. As far as he was concerned, he had always done the right thing, even if it was wrong.

then again, the definition of what was right and what was wrong was a very thin line. Regardless, he did his best. Creating morals to guide his actions, regardless of his endless desires and the pain that came with their fulfillment.

Now that he thought about it all, he could not help but laugh at himself.

So miserable he was right now, that Lady death had to come herself and become his therapist.

in truth, he could hear her words, but making sense of them was a trouble circumstance for him.

never had he fallen so low emotionally and physically in both lives that he had been granted. But today, this day. This was it. Even when his lovers had died, he had not been so broken.

Without a doubt, there were levels to affection and there were levels to loving. Yes, Loving. That was it. That was what it was. he loved him. He loved the morningstar.

Without even knowing that he was his father, he had loved the ’idea’ of him, so deeply that it shaped all decisions that he had made through out his life.

Now, Lenny did not mind at all being used, after all, he had been pushing for his master’s revenge all along, but this... this was something else.

This was emptiness.

And then in her rambling, death made a sentence that made Lenny for the first time actually turn his head to her voice.

"...Who is Lenny Tales? Is he you or are you him. Is he your, soul, your body, your ever long list of achievements and failures, or is he your Father that had used you. Is who you are tied to your perception of your identity that had been weaved by unseen hands for thousands of years, or is it..." she paused.

"...Why are you smiling?" she suddenly asked.

Those words were not directed to his facial features. After all, that was actually expressionless as the morningstar had taken over most of his body.

But rather she directed that question at his soul. lenny looked at her, "You... are incredibly beautiful..." and then she he raised a hand for her face, as if breaking through the smoke to reach her and cup her beauty. This action of his surprised her and her, that had been forward and filled with confidence all this while moved back a bit.

However, Lenny Grabbed her hand, not letting her go.

"My mother... Lilith she sent you didnt she?"

This much was easy for him to figure out. After all, right now, Lenny was merging permanently with the Morningstar. This much was only natural for him to comprehend. Especially with all the information that he had received.

And then Lenny found himself muttering words that felt unnaturally inconceivable.

"I remember her... I remember as I formed in her womb..." tears seemed to fall from eyes of his soul as there looked like they had reached a different state of enlightenment. One only achievable by the premise of true death that he was about to behold.

"I remember the warmth of her hand on her belly... as if trying to hold me, filled with warthm and impatience for my arrival. I remember her songs, as she envisoned a happy family..."

"...And I... I remember her pain, ’Wealthy in Grief’ as my father, the Morningstar, peeled me from her belly. The hurt of her loss... like a faint light fighting against the darkness of the Morningstar’s ambition..."

Lenny seemed to pull Lady Death closer, "I remember it all... That’s why, isn’t it? That’s why she sent you. Cause she knows... you are like her... I feel it from you too. Your loss, pain and loneliness, cutting across the stars of time, effective enough to fall whole worlds. How have you lived with it for so long!?"

Slowly, from the darkness that never revealed death’s face, a drop tear fell. And she seemed to lean more into his palm. "Lenny, you are approaching the True End, erasure of even the soul. Your existence will be know more. Its enticing you with wisdom and... you have to..."

"I know...I want it to!" Lenny spoke up. His words made her fingers tighten around his own. "No! But you can’t... you can’t go. I... can’t lose you too." Those words were said with a longing that made Lenny reevaluate this entity. After all, it was as if they had known each other for a long time.

Now that Lenny thought of it, they might have well have. After all, Death was born the moment man fell from the grace of the One Above All, after eating from the tree of Life and Death.

And then Lenny’s lips opened up again, "...I remember. You... its you. You have always been there."

Death nodded, "yes I have. I have! And I waited for you for so long to remember... I even..."

"Gave part of yourself to meet me. Catherine, Glenn... They did not know, but they carried parts of you in them, avatars that you may have me."

Death nodded. "But they are of me, and therefore, all fated for a terrible end.

Lenny remembered how both of these women he had loved had died. Catherine was literally peeled alive by Agent ’X’ and Glenn, by diving in front of a blade for him. Both cut short.

They were the few people he had actually gotten to love that had not been planted in his life by the Morningstar.

Now knowing that they were all of Lady Death gave a satisfying feeling.

And then Lady death Spoke up again, "Now, you know. I never left you. So tell me, will you leave me now, Lenny?"

Lenny looked at her, a different gaze in his eyes, "you didn’t let me finish. I want the True End. More of it, that I may come back."

Now, It was lady death that was confused about his words. "What do you mean? You have to fight the Morningstar for your..."

Lenny waved his hand and a yellow pearl stone appeared. Death seemed to shake a bit when she saw this stone.

After all, Lenny had used one like it at one time. This stone was a very special one. And there was only one person in the whole of known existence that can create it.

This was the pearl that had been gifted to Lenny by King Solomon. This pearl had the ability to take back time. And Lenny had used it at one time to go back in time when he had been killed by his son Luca who had planned with Cuban against him.

Back then, King Solomon had told him that he would be needing it again, and that Lenny should be careful with it.

For this reason, he had kept it in a very safe place within the Satan System.

"You plan to go back in time... to before this!" Death spoke up, with a surprising excitement in her voice."

However, Lenny shook his head, "No, I lost this one. This round is gone. And I know it. because of the True end, I know my mother, Lilith made a deal with you. Your wheel of rebirth, I’m I right?"

Lenny smiled a bit, "Mother is very intelligent, there is no one that has her kind of mind in the known universe. If she did what I know she did, then it means that she already guessed that i have this pearl with me. Even If I go back, it will not help matters. Besides, I still bear the mark of the Morningstar, and it fuels it all. My fate was long sold off by my father.

The only option is to start again."

"So that’s your plan. And here I thought you had given up!" Death replied.

"I had... but on this life. I am going to do it again. Start all over and have my revenge."

"Back to your reincarnation into the eighth earth?"

Lenny shook his head, "No! Going back sometimes means going forward."

Lenny suddenly waved his hands as Shadow runes danced around him, surrounding the pearl.

Normally, Lenny only needed to consume it and then go back in time. But not this time around.

This tine around, he was going to do the impossible. Something so daring that no one sane enough would ever try. After all, one wrong step would mean a fate worse than death.

Lenny could see it clearly this pearl was an accumulation of Laws, and he was going to unravel them.

Shadow runes rushed from his soul to the pearl. And the moment they touched the pearl....
