Chapter 931: Devil Dungeon

"...And they feed on soul energy. This basically means that on Celesterra, your Demon rank is useless if your soul is not strong."

Cain had barely finished talking when another Soul Devouring devil lauched at lenny again, brushing past his abdomen. the pain was like hot oil being shot into his veins by a needle.

lenny waved the Blade in his hand, left and right. But it was more in a confused manner as his eyes looked about at the maniacally looking faces of the Devils that wanted to feast on him.

A devil lauched at him and instinctively, he tried to cut it, but the devil moved with incredible flexibility to dodge the blade.

"Oh! Did I not mention, they are like rubber..." Cain’s words froze in his mouth as he saw what happened next.

The devil had clearly dodged the attack, but lenny’s fingers, nibble as they were, moved, turning the shaft of the blade, and therefore its sharp edge.

*SLASH!*

The blade tore through the devil like a birthday cake.

Its blood splashing on lenny’s face in a baptism.

"Oh!" Cain massaged his beards a bit. Even the others that formed members of his party were intrigued by this.

However, the Soul devil that had come before, came gain. This time around, it latched on Lenny’s back, digging its face into his flesh.

"AHHH!!!" Lenny screamed.

He waved the sword haphazardly. Unfortunately, it was not enough to kill the creature.

"Cain! you gave him a blade with no soul blessing." Samuel spoke up.

Cain chuckled, "Oh, really... too bad. I hadn’t noticed."

all the others face palmed. This was the problem with Cain’s so called teaching process. Even though it looked like he was giving out all the help that he could render, it was not always the case.

He always left loop holes for his own entertainment.

The devil bit in deep, drinking the green of lenny’s soul. Lenny could feel himself being sucked away. His body that had began to show signs of healing after being exposed to cain’s Killing intent suddenly started to become shriveled.

meanwhile, the body of the devil glowed in a green light, and swelled up.

"Hey... that kid’s soul must be very rich. Look at the Devil go." One of the rebels commented.

He waved his hands to remove a shotgun hanging on his back and pointed it at the devil, but Cain placed a hand on the shot gun. "Wait for it!"

Meanwhile, the pain made Lenny roll over on the ground as he screamed ceaselessly. He cried for help but Cain only watched with focused eyes.

All the others too did not go to help.

After all, this was Cain. And this was his lesson.

However, just When Lenny thought that he was going to go blank with the approach of death, images flashed before his eyes.

But these were not just images. They were memories here and there. he could not totally piece together the puzzle, especially because each memory came with a different pain. they was also the constant beeping in his head.

Another voice screaming at him to act. <ALERT! ALERT!!> Of course this was the Satan system. Unfortunately, this Lenny had lost his memories and functionality was on the low.

These memories were bloody and involved laceration of flesh, and nightmares that would leave grown adults awake for nights un-end.

However, there was one thing that they all had in common. it was the fact that they all conveyed a particular emotion. It was not anger, or sadness.

No! it was not even revenge. rather, it was pride. Pride seeped into his bones so deep that even the loss of memory could not erase.

It was pride so primordial that even the devil drinking his soul paused a bit, getting the faint sense that it was supposed to bow and not attack.

All the others did not sense it, but Cain definitely did. He looked closely and he felt it. "Well, I’ll be fucking Damned!"

And that was when it happened. Lenny’s body suddenly glowed a white hue. He stopped his struggle and screaming for pain. and then he stretched his hand, reaching behind himself to grab the devil by the neck.

With a fierce pull that ripped out a good part of his flesh with the mandibles of the Devil, he pulled the Devil to his face.

And then looking at it, faint words left his mouth, "How dare you... Vermin!"

Those were simple words, but even the devils running about as if sensing a particular authority that shook their bloodline all pasued and looked in his direction.

Lenny was talking to just one, but he might as well had been talking to them all.

His words in their head was as primal as their hunger to feed.

Pride as hot as burning as the light of the sun rushed from his body into the environment.

Of Course, this was not tangible. But those with a clear enough sixth sense like Cain could feel it.

"Pay for your STUPIDITY!" Lenny suddenly leaned in to the devil, and just as it had fed from him, his teeth sank into the near ethereal flesh of the devil.

Everyone watched as the Devil which was formerly the predator, suddenly become prey.

It did not even so much as struggle as lenny sank his teeth into its flesh, as if submitting itself to the pleasure of the slaughter.

lenny did not just drink blood but the essence of the devil.

"What in the fucking hell!?" Samuel cursed with wide eyes. All the others also watched this in surprise.

Cain was no exception.

When Lenny was done, the devil evaporated. And then Lenny saw an alert before his eyes.

While Lenny was trying to figure out what was going, especially with the alert, the other devils suddenly came back to their senses. However, they rushed back into the dungeon as if meeting their natural enemy.

"Samuel!" Cain called out. "tie the boy. We are going back."

"But the devils... They are retreating. We are already past the first level." Samuel spoke up.

However, Cain Chuckled, "Fuck the Treasure. One landed on our hands. We are going to the Pig market..."
