Chapter 992: Facing the Devil King
Chapter 992: Facing the Devil King
Lenny found Himself abruptly stopping, screeching against the ground as he turned again. The force of speed he used to run, coupled with his sudden stop and then turn about to run again, was so incredible that it dislocated his own ankle, yet, Lenny did not stop, regardless of the pain he felt.
He turned about as he attempted another escape, and he did it just in time too, as one of the giant claws of the Devil King brushed against his back with such speed that it shaved his his fine white hair, tearing into his back like a hot knife shaving off butter.
*BERSERKER!*
Lenny immediately activated his skill, which instantly tightened his muscles, holding the dislocated Ankle in place and also doubling his speed.
*BOOM!* He shot for the wall on one side. Smashing hard into it, but to Lenny’s dismay, it did not shatter.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, you are already in my Semi-Arcane domain. You entered it the moment your eyes gazed upon my true form."
Those words were a surprise to Lenny.
This was information that even the She-devil was not aware of.
All of a sudden, Lenny’s mind churned in incredible calculations as he tried to understand this world so that he could escape.
When it came to a semi-arcane Domain, Lenny had always been the one in control, even though he was not the one who activated the Domain.
However, all those times, aside from the first time, there had always been a plan beforehand.
He had practically entered this Domain blind.
For a quick second, he could not but throw away all he had learnt about this Devil King. To Lenny, nothing was making sense.
The devil King had only used his speed so far, and he was already putting incredible pressure on Lenny.
Lenny landed at a corner. he tried to catch his breath as sweat fell from his forehead.
It had barely been a few exchanges and he was already sweating buckets. The pressure that this Devil King gave was just that incredible.
Lenny looked around, his eyes searching for clues. Every semi-arcane domain had its own rules. If Lenny could find the rules, then he could find loop holes in the rules that he could explore and this could potentially lead to his escape or even victory.
However, the Devil King watched him like an eagle stalking its prey.
"If you trying to escape, then know that it is a fruitless action. This Semi-Arcane domain only has one rule once it has been erected. Its either My enemies come out alive, our I do?"
The Devil King opened his hands, "So come at me, let’s battle till our heart’s content.
One look at the Devil King, and even Lenny could tell that just now, the devil King had been telling the truth. He did not lie.
If that was the case, then he was going to give it his all.
Lenny’s hair fell down his shoulders cascading like the waters of a waterfall.
He raised his hands, and two swords appeared. These swords were nothing like the former two he had used.
These swords had extra Shadow runes on them, with their edges with jarred teeth, added sharpness Lenny had used, using the corpse of one of the Devil Bosses.
It had all been in preparation of this fight.
Instantly, he activated his Holy Power, and white flames burnt around him, the aura that came from his body literally burnt the air.
The Devil King saw this and gave a side smile. He was more than interested in this. It excited his need for battle even more.
All of a sudden, the pool of poison in the center of the chamber began to convulse violently.
Grotesque creatures, each formed entirely of the viscous, glowing poison, started to emerge. Their mouths were wide and gaping, revealing rows of jagged, venomous teeth. There were thousands of them, ranging in size from the dimensions of a car to towering behemoths even larger than the Devil King.
Lenny stood, a lone figure before their loud sneers and grotesque hisses, as they swarmed towards him. He could feel the palpable hatred and malevolence emanating from them. The air thickened with the stench of poison, the atmosphere charged with impending violence.
He screamed back at them, a primal roar that echoed through the cavern, and rushed forward.
Like a gust of wind, he moved, his swords ablaze with white flames that flickered and danced with holy energy. The runes on his arms glowed brightly, summoning the elements to his aid.
He leaped into the fray, his swords cutting through the first wave of poison creatures with ease.
The white flames seared through their toxic bodies, turning them into harmless vapor. As he moved, runes formed around him, launching relentless attacks of fire, ice, and lightning at the creatures, decimating their ranks.
But for every creature he destroyed, more took its place. One of the larger beasts lunged at him, its maw wide open. Lenny dodged, but not before its claws raked across his side, tearing through his flesh.
He felt the burn of the poison entering his bloodstream, sending jolts of agony into his soul.
Lenny was already poisoned from the purple poison of the Jin. Facing another Jin poison was terrible. It was not a good thing for him. He gritted his teeth and pressed on, his determination unwavering.
With a powerful upward slash, he cleaved another creature in half, its toxic innards spilling onto the ground. He somersaulted backward, dodging a swipe from another beast, and landed gracefully, only to be met with a barrage of attacks. Poisonous claws and teeth tore at him, each cut searing with venom. He coughed up blood, but his resolve remained unbroken.
He summoned a whirlwind of fire, incinerating a group of smaller creatures. Their screeches filled the air as they were consumed by the holy flames.
Another beast, the size of a small building, charged at him. Lenny stood his ground, his swords glowing brighter. He met the charge head-on, plunging his blades into its hide and unleashing a burst of holy energy that tore the creature apart.
But the onslaught was relentless. A massive creature, larger than any he had faced, suddenly landed with a wide mouth. It swallowed him whole.
Inside the beast, the air was thick with poison, and the darkness was suffocating. For a moment, all was still. Then, with a ferocious cry, Lenny erupted from the creature’s stomach, his swords blazing and his body covered in glowing runes. He emerged with a renewed vigor, his eyes burning with red with the Skill Berserker still active.
The Devil King watched from a distance, his laughter echoing through the chamber. "Is this all you’ve got, human?" he taunted, his voice filled with mocking amusement. "You are but one, and they are legion."
Lenny ignored the taunts, focusing on the battle at hand. He moved like a whirlwind, his swords cutting through the poisonous creatures with precision and fury. The ground was littered with the remnants of their bodies, each one turning into pools of nothingness.
Lenny knew that he could not continue like this. He had to do it. He had to use weapons in his arsenal.
immediately, he waved his hand, and it appeared. A weapon that he had not used since he was in the earth earth. This was none other than the Whistle Horn of the Hell Beast Vandora...
