?Chapter 126: Chapter 126 You are just like my mom Chapter 126: Chapter 126 You are just like my mom “Auntie Cherish, can Lewis sleep with you today?” The little guy’s tear-filled eyes looked so pitiful, his tiny paws gripped tightly onto Cherish Turner’s leg, never letting go. The hopeful look in his eyes was heartrendingly poignant for Cherish.

Upon reflecting on the words about Lewis’s mother that William Griffith muttered in his drunken stupor, Cherish felt that Lewis was extremely pitiful.

How could that woman abandon her own child like that? Or had she forgotten about him?

Cherish picked up Lewis, holding him tightly in her arms and wiped his tears away. The little guy’s mood began to improve a little.

“Where’s my brother?” Hailey Griffith asked Thomas Harrison.

“The boss, he…” Thomas stammered, unable to articulate clearly.

“I can’t believe my brother left my nephew alone at Deep Wave Mansion. He’s really careless; if my grandmother finds out, she’ll never let him take care of a child again!”

Hailey Griffith headed over to Cherish Turner, looked at Lewis’s pitiful appearance, and felt sympathy for him. So she lured him, “Sweet Lewis, how about moving back home? Don’t live with your unreliable dad at Deep Wave anymore!”

“No, I want to live with my dad, I’m not going home!”

The little guy was rather staunch,
he stuck out his bottom lip and had a stern face towards anyone who wanted to pull him away from William Griffith.

“Hmph, ungrateful child, Auntie won’t pamper you anymore!” Hailey Griffith continued to eat. Lewis, who could smell the food, was dying to have some but refused to beg his aunt for it.

Cherish chuckled at the sight, thinking that Lewis was truly his father’s son.

Seeing that it was getting late, Cherish had to persuade Hailey to go back to the Griffith Family home with Thomas.

“Lewis, would you like to eat?” Cherish asked as she was holding Lewis.

But Lewis just looked and didn’t say anything.

At home, William Griffith didn’t let Lewis eat these kinds of foods. The last time Lewis ate spicy hot pot, it was because of Auntie’s permission. For Lewis, his childhood was not devoid of love and care. At least, his father loved him a lot.

Seeing Lewis salivating at the food, Cherish reheated the unfinished food and gave some to Lewis.

“Lewis, you can have a tiny bit. Auntie won’t tell your dad.”

The little guy listened and started eating joyously.

Sam Turner watched from the side and then looked at the small dumpling, feeling that something was off. He knew his mother’s temperament well, accepting a man with a family and a child would not be easy.

“Sister, has mom said anything about this?”

Cherish remained silent. Many thoughts ran through her mind. Her parents hadn’t openly opposed the relationship, but they probably disliked it.

As for her future with William Griffith, she hadn’t given it a thorough thought. She just felt that worrying about him made her feel rather content.

While munching away, Lewis sneaked a glance at Cherish and thought cherishingly of her, “Auntie, I actually have a little secret to tell you.”

“What secret is that?”

“You remind me of my mom.”

In truth, Lewis felt this way the moment he first saw Cherish, but at the time, his dad didn’t want him to speak rashly.

“Really? When you say that, Auntie feels very happy.” Cherish didn’t understand Lewis’s implication; she just felt that Lewis liked her. As she patted Lewis’s head, a gentle smile spread across her face.

Lewis thought about whether he should tell Cherish more, but after thinking for a bit, he decided against it and continued eating in silence.

Sam was feeling bored alone in bed, so he picked up his phone to surf the internet. However, he was utterly stunned when he saw the news headline!
