Chapter 127 - 127 127 Splendidly Making the Headlines

?Chapter 127: Chapter 127: Splendidly Making the Headlines Chapter 127: Chapter 127: Splendidly Making the Headlines Sam Turner glanced at his phone and then at his sister beside him before nudging Cherish Turner:
“Sis, is this person…you?”

“What?” Cherish turned to look at him, and when her eyes landed on Sam’s phone screen, her smile instantly froze!

“What’s going on?” Cherish grabbed the phone, staring intently at the screen!

“‘zero’s real girlfriend suspected to be exposed, driving a luxury car to spend the night at girlfriend’s house!”

Reading the headline made Cherish want to die. Why did these gossip reporters write without regard for the truth? What underground girlfriend? What staying overnight at girlfriend’s house? It was all bullshit!

“Does Zero refer to that major star, Zero? Sis, do you know him?”

No young person was unaware of Zero; his music was highly praised in schools. No one had ever seen him in real life, and this mysteriousness only amplified his popularity!

“Yes, that’s me alright, but what they’re writing isn’t what happened. It’s all fabricated!”

Cherish was very angry. The worst part was, what if William Griffith saw this? What would she do?

That man usually seemed nice to her but had a petty mind. Like the last time she was found with Daniel Peacock, he severely lectured her.

Thinking about this gave Cherish goosebumps all over.

Most importantly, the first person forwarding this news even tagged her Weibo account. Cherish felt that she must have stepped on dog shit. How could her Weibo account be exposed? Who was this person?

Cherish quickly clicked on her account using Sam’s phone, took a look at her Weibo page – her account usually used for promoting her comics, and her followers were fellow comic enthusiasts. She was shocked to see her follower count had shot up by tens of thousands, all haters! There were also many messages insulting her!

Cherish’s mouth twitched in surprise; she didn’t even dare to open the comments.

“Sis, I took a look, and um…they’re all…insulting you…”

Cherish looked at her brother with resentment. She had already guessed it, okay?

“SLUT! Leave our Zero alone! Get away from him!”

“Stay away from my man, Hazel Gibson is disgusting!”

“SLUT, come out here, I promise I’ll kill you!”

“Who dares steal my man, girls, attack!”

“Those who insult the slut come like me. (^_^)”
And so, the comments under the latest post were all about how the slut did this and that; it was exhausting for Cherish to see.

Being wronged made her feel terrible, but the person behind this was Senior Yannis, and she couldn’t say anything.

“Sam Turner, give me your phone. I’m going to tweet.”

“Are you serious, Sis? You want to speak up at this time? Based on my experience, it’s better for you to stay silent now. This news will die down after a couple of days, especially since there’s no concrete evidence. If you respond, they will cling on to you.”

Sam’s words made sense, but feeling misunderstood still didn’t sit right.

It was already very late. This major account was indeed spreading poison in the middle of the night!

Just as Cherish didn’t know what to do and was pondering whether to contact Senior Yannis to apologise, the phone in her pocket belonging to William Griffith began to ring.

Cherish quickly took out the phone, then a familiar short number popped up on the screen, scaring her so much she almost dropped Sam’s phone.

A call from William Griffith….he shouldn’t know about this yet, right?
