Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe

Chapter 798: Secret Plane

Chapter 798: Secret Plane

When Adam opened his eyes, he found that the scenery around him had changed.

But the first thing he did was gently pat Luna and calm her down. It was the first time the horse had experienced teleportation, and as such, she was greatly panicking.

After a few minutes, Adam finally managed to calm her down. "Good girl," he gently whispered.

The following moment, a gray light flashed, and Valerian appeared before Adam, looking around with wide-eyed curiosity.

"Brother, isn't this…"

"Yes," Adam said with a light smile. "We are inside the Soaring River Secret Plane."

He then looked around at the magical place they had teleported to and spoke with reminiscence, "And this is the mushroom forest."

All the mushrooms in this forest appeared the same. They only differed in size. Their stems were an earthy brown, and their caps were red with blue spots on them.

The most fascinating thing about these mushrooms, however, was their gills. They were neon green in color and pulsated from time to time as if they were breathing.

"This sure brings back memories," Adam murmured.

He then directed Luna to move forward. As far as he remembered, the mushroom forest was expansive and was home to goblins and hobgoblins. Although neither could pose a threat to him, he still didn't wish to waste his time on them here.

A few days later, Adam finally made it out of the Mushroom Forest.

He had a deep frown etched on his face, and he couldn't help but murmur, "Something's off about this place."

The last time he was here, around twenty years ago, the creatures inside this secret plane were no stronger than Mana Foundation Magi.

But while making his journey through the mushroom forest this time around, he had already disposed of several hobgoblins whose strength was no weaker than that of a Mana Liquefaction Magus!

"Could it be…" A possibility emerged in his mind.

But his thoughts were quickly interrupted by Valerian. "Brother, look! Look!" The young dragon excitedly pointed his paw towards the sky.

After exiting the forest, the group arrived at a cliffside, facing a great valley. Towering mountains filled with greenery stood on either side. Moreover, a long river meandered through the middle of the valley.

In the skies, however, something more spectacular remained. It was the reason why this secret plane got its name.

The rumbling and splashing of waves came from high up above as countless streams of water stretched across the skies, intertwining with one another and floating in mid-air.

The blue skies of this secret plane were not just home to clouds but also rivers!

Adam turned towards the distance, his gaze seemingly piercing past the valley. At the center of the secret plane lay an enormous pyramid made of playing cards.

That was his destination.

"Alright, let's take a detour and find our way down," said the raven-haired youth as he guided Luna to tread along the cliffside, slowly making their way down.

The Night Mare's eyes flashed with wonder and excitement when she saw the scenery before her. The vast green plains and valleys were very much to her liking, and she couldn't wait to run freely across them. They beckoned to her.

She stood on her hind legs, neighing in excitement. This caused Adam and even Valerian to be slightly taken aback, wondering what had suddenly come over the horse.

Before long, Luna galloped across the rocky terrain, taking the shortest route possible.

On the way towards the center of the secret plane, Adam witnessed several things—some that he had previously seen, and others that were new.

In one area, he saw a grove of trees flourishing with vitality. Their leaves, however, were crimson red and greatly resembled blood.

In another area, he saw an expansive swamp which was home to crocodiles. This was also the place where magical mangroves grew.

At another location, he saw an enormous tree that had colorful eggs growing on it. Adam remembered this tree to be a sacred site for the Peach Baboon tribe.

After more than a week of traveling, thanks to Luna's incredible speed, Adam finally arrived near the center of the secret plane.

Currently, he was moving through a forest of cherry blossom trees. The pink petals swirled in the air and drifted past him, causing him to reveal a gentle smile.

"This is such a nice place," he murmured. "When I have settled everything outside, I'll definitely come here to relax and drink wine."

He could have done so now, too, but he was on a tight schedule. The Grand Magus Tournament was soon approaching, and he had to return to Ravenfell on time.

Finally, after exiting the cherry blossom forest, he had arrived at his destination.

At the center of the Soaring Rivers Secret Plane was a pyramid of massive proportions. Its height was close to a hundred and fifty meters, and the length of the base on each of the four sides was about two hundred and thirty meters.

The spell that Adam had cast in Blackshore paled in comparison to the structure before him.

Just how powerful was Mathias the Free for him to be able to conjure such a titanic structure? Adam marveled.

And not just that, his spell remained active, enduring even long after his passing. He was truly a splendid Magus!

Adam landed softly on the ground and turned to Luna, "Go ahead, run to your heart's content. I'll come find you once I'm finished."

The Night Mare did not wait for even a second before excitedly running into the distant plains.

Adam turned his attention to the large House of Cards before him, his eyes flashing with a brilliant light.

I was right to come here, he thought.

Mathias the Free was no doubt a very powerful Magus if he was able to create this structure… and even this secret plane!

He had ventured into the Greater Universe and visited many magical civilizations in the past.

The only reason he returned to Tron was because he realized that his death was soon approaching.

He wanted to return home and leave behind his legacy for the residents of this planet…

The Soaring River Secret Plane was the legacy he left behind before his passing!

Adam took a few deep breaths and walked towards the entrance of the towering pyramid.

If there's anyone in this world who can give me clues to leaving this planet, then it has to be the Joker, he thought to himself.

After all, he's the only one who knows everything about Mathias the Free!

The youth pushed open the card door and finally entered the heart of the secret plane.
