?Chapter 600: Chapter 601 – Love Blooms (3)_1 Chapter 600: Chapter 601 – Love Blooms (3)_1 His eyes were stunning, spellbinding. The feelings they radiated were like a whirlpool, deeply sucking Jing Haohao in, making it impossible to free herself.

Jing Haohao sat in the passenger seat, one hand clenching her bag, the other holding the paper bag. She displayed no reaction, just intently gazing at Liang Chen.

In the depths of his eyes, she saw her own reflection as if for the first time. She was surprisingly attractive.

The inside of the car was deathly quiet.

Jing Haohao could faintly hear his strong, steady heartbeat.

Perhaps it was the alcohol, but Jing Haohao found her breathing becoming more difficult.

Just when she felt she was about to suffocate, she finally spoke. Upon regaining her senses, she realized she had been gazing at Liang Chen in a stupor.

Jing Haohao’s face was suddenly aflame, her cheeks burning up. She hurriedly lowered her head, not daring to look at Liang Chen again, feeling a wave of shyness spread throughout her entire body.

Why had she been staring at Liang Chen? What on earth was wrong? Why did she frequently feel breathless when she looked at him?

It was a sensation she had never experienced before…

Jing Haohao gripped her bag tightly, her heart filled with trepidation at her uncharacteristic behavior and emotions.

Frightened, she reflexively blurted, “I, um, have to go. Goodbye.”

Without waiting for Liang Chen’s response, she hurriedly opened the car door and dashed toward the building, not looking back.

When Jing Haohao had finally darted into the elevator, she leaned against the cold elevator wall, clutching her chest, gasping for breath.

Why did she harbor such specific feelings for Liang Chen? That emotion originated from the deepest, most tender part of her heart. Surely, wasn’t she… No. She was moved by the fact that Liang Chen had traveled all the way to Japan to save her; it was mere gratitude, not a stirring of affection.

Reassuring herself over and over, Jing Haohao returned to her room. She hastily peeled off her clothes and took a cold shower, hoping to quench these bizarre thoughts.

After emerging from the bathroom, Jing Haohao crawled into bed and wrapped up in a blanket. As she trembled, Liang Chen appeared in her mind again.

Jing Haohao forcefully shook her head, and as she was settling into bed, her fingers brushed against the paper bag Liang Chen had given her.

Her fingers paused for a few seconds, then she sat up, opened the bag, and found a Buddha Beads bracelet inside.

Beneath the bracelet was a note bearing four simple characters, written in the familiar bold and vigorous script she knew so well.

Stay safe.

Jing Haohao stared at those four words, her hand subconsciously gripping the Buddha Beads bracelet. She squeezed so hard it made the palm of her hand ache but that pain was quickly suppressed by the emotions roiling inside her.

After a moment, Jing Haohao came back to her senses. She slowly put the bracelet onto her own wrist. It was neither too tight nor too loose, a perfect fit.

Against her fair skin, the Buddha Beads bracelet was particularly pleasing to the eye.
