"Would I get a kiss for that then?" He asked with all seriousness.

"Jael," Mauve cried, not missing the laugh from Mill who was watching them from the corner.

"There is no harm in asking," he whispered as he slowly let go of her while she returned to her seat by the dresser.

Mill got back to work and was soon done with her hair. Mauve stood up and walked hand in hand with Jael as they left her room to the dining hall.

The hall was pretty filled, it didn't look like any of the Lords had left at all. Lord Garth and his family were the only ones she couldn't see.

She sat across Louis and he gave her a knowing look. Lady Marceline looked a little bored and didn't so much as glance in Mauve's direction, rather she was gazing at her mate who looked to be clinging onto her tighter than usual.

Her gaze drifted to the rest of the vampires in the hall and Mauve stiffened as her eyes rested on Seraphino.

She didn't like the way he stared at her. It was creepy, that was the only way she could explain it. She looked away immediately, making a mental note not to look in that direction again.

She was truly glad they had gotten Vae away from him and she wondered what the young woman was up to. Mauve hoped she had been able to get back safely.

Mauve walked out with Jael in the same manner when the first meal ended.
