October 27th, the year 2920, weather: foggy.

Today is our little angel’s sixth birthday.

Although mom and dad can’t go back and celebrate it with you, we’re still sending our blessings for your health and happiness from afar.

I’ve decided, from today onward, to write a letter to our darling every day.

Even though I can’t send them out, I’ll bring them back to you every three years during vacation.

I want you to know how much mom and dad love you.

Today, the potion study group’s second phase of the experiment has failed completely.

They couldn’t control the high concentration of the life force in the potions which would dissipate after just ten seconds.

Even with full support from our array study group, we could only extend the effect to fifteen seconds.

Word is that the director was furious with the potion study group.

When we heard the news, a group of us, who are good friends, celebrated by opening a bottle of limited edition wine from Caliste.

Hmm, the taste is excellent – another reason why the 500 gold price per bottle was worth it.

But Bell actually said I only liked the taste because I knew the price, ugh, I’m so annoyed.

Don’t you dare talk to me or touch me tonight.

January 10th, the year 2921, weather: snowy.

I think the director has gone mad, he’s brought an elf corpse!!!!!

How could he do such a thing?

Does he want to get us all killed?

Has he forgotten about the war the Nolan Kingdom started six hundred years ago?

Those forest maniacs could declare war on the entire human race just because one of their own was trafficked.

More than one hundred thousand gold rank forest guards, countless legendary leaders, and six demigods all came out.

Within seven months, two entire kingdoms were razed, twelve dukedoms were stripped of their titles, half a million of the Human Alliance Army were extinguished, two demi-gods had fallen.

Finally, the Human Alliance Army had to admit defeat.

The King of the Nolan Kingdom abdicated, the slavers were extinguished, allowing those crazies to return to the foggy forest.

Now the director has dared to obtain an elf corpse?

If this gets out, no one could protect us!

I’m certain we will all be killed by the director!

Mia what should I do, almighty Mia, please tell me what to do!

January 19th, the year 2921, weather: unknown.

What a relief, what a relief.

Today I finally learned that the elf corpse was not killed by the director.

It was left by a team of adventurers who had perished in the underground remains.

This shouldn’t provoke the enmity of the elves…should it?

I finally feel at ease and can put my energy back into my work.

This is the sixth year, and in half a year we can go back to see our little darling, which makes me happy.

We have accumulated a pile of letters for her, and I think she will love that present.

The potion study group has begun the third phase of the experiment.

Will they succeed this time?

Who knows, but I believe that even if they succeed in creating the Life Force Potion, it won’t achieve the desired result of extending one’s lifespan.

This is not something human power can control.

Weather, unknown.

Actually, it is now July 1st, I can’t sleep thinking about being able to go home soon.

Our little angel must be close to eight years old now, must have grown very cute, and must look very much like me.

Our darling has grown, she’s beautiful, she’s well-behaved, she knows how to be thoughtful and caring to mom and dad, but I always feel there’s a deep gap between us.

We don’t know what she likes, what she hates, or even what her favorite food is.

However, when we left yesterday, our darling cried.

Seeing her tears broke my heart, but also brought a sense of happiness.

Her crying told us she still loves us and wants to be with us.

Darling, don’t worry, after another four years, we can always be together.

Mom and dad want to watch you grow, watch you get married, and see you happily ever after.

March 3rd, the year 2922, weather: unknown.

They actually did it, the creation of the Life Force Potion was successful.

They were also able to overcome the problem of not being able to control the dissipation of the life force.

It can survive for thirty days under normal conditions and can even be stored long-term under low temperature.

I believe it will last for centuries without issues.

However, as I anticipated, their success also resulted in failure.

The Life Force Potion cannot restore youth or prevent physical aging.

All the aged animals used for the experiment died.

Yet, it can significantly speed up the healing of wounds.

Though it can’t regenerate lost limbs, even large amounts of exfoliated muscles could fully recuperate in just three days.

For ordinary wounds that are not lethal like a stab to the heart, as long as the subject could survive the immediate aftermath, the injuries could recover rapidly within two days.

It’s said that drinking a bottle would maintain this recovery ability in a human body for ten years.
