Chapter 101: Chapter 101: The Murderer Meets God - Delivery to Your Door

?

The sky had already darkened, and since the hunter's cabin wasn't electrified, they were still using kerosene lamps, with Cecil busy cooking food.

It seemed like he was frying sausages, and the aroma continuously filled the cabin. From this fragrance, Qin Muye could deduce that the sausages were indeed made with substantial effort and a good amount of spices; otherwise, they couldn't possibly smell so intoxicating.

"Come, Priest Andrew, try the sausages I stuffed. They are made from a mix of top-quality meats like rabbit, wild boar, and deer," Cecil offered earnestly, placing a full plate of sausages right in front of Qin Muye.

As appetizing as they smelled, Qin Muye had no desire to eat them; he had brought his own food, which smelled even more enticing.

"Sorry, Cecil, although I really want to try the sausages you made especially for me, it's past the time now, and my vows prevent me from eating further," Qin Muye said very sincerely.

But Cecil's warm expression instantly froze upon hearing Qin Muye's refusal before it quickly turned gloomy.

"Priest Andrew, are you sure you won't eat?" asked Cecil, wearing an apron, his tone laced with darkness.

Qin Muye noticed that the other's apron wasn't brown but blue, only appearing such due to being heavily stained with some liquid.

"I won't eat," said Qin Muye, his tone calming as the other seemed intent on confrontation.

"If you won't eat, then I'll have to turn you into sausage instead."

Cecil suddenly exploded into action, seizing the boning knife that lay beside him and slashing at Qin Muye with incredible speed, so fast that Qin Muye couldn't even react in time.

Qin Muye wasn't specialized in combat; he had invested all his points in knowledge. Because he constantly engaged in study and research, his magic power admittedly wasn't particularly responsive.

So at that moment, he could be considered an ordinary person with a vast amount of magic power, at best just psychologically more resilient.

He certainly couldn't physically compete with a murderer in terms of fitness and reflexes. Though he hadn't reacted, his many protective shields served him well.

The boning knife was stopped by a magic shield, Cecil looking utterly incredulous, not expecting this outcome at all.

"I've come into a bit of money, so my equipment is somewhat better," said Qin Muye, slightly embarrassed as he looked at the boning knife stalled so close and yet unable to penetrate.

As a lord, one might lack superpowers, but they must certainly have financial capabilities. In his inventory were many consumables. Unfortunately, being inside an instance, he couldn't connect to the Supplies Warehouse, or he would have even more.

At this point, Cecil also realized he had met his match and turned to flee.

He was a twisted murderer, not an idiotic one.

Thus, he naturally knew when to run if he couldn't win-especially since Qin Muye had demonstrated supernatural abilities. Cecil was accustomed to luring passersby and turning them into sausages for sale, but that didn't mean he had supernatural powers himself.

"Have you ever heard that within seven steps, a gun is fast and accurate?" Magic power, crimson in color, shimmered in Qin Muye's hand, slowly forming into a Magic Divine Arrow.

The murderer, about to open the door to escape, stiffened. He could feel the sense of danger behind him; should he dare to open that door, he knew it would undoubtedly hit him.

"Priest Andrew, what are your orders?" Cecil turned around, his voice tinged with sycophancy.

"Just one; come, take a seat. I am quite amiable, generally not prone to acts outside the ambit of the law," said Qin Muye, his tone exceedingly gentle now that the tables had turned.

Well, the law doesn't say anything about not releasing magic.

Cecil sat down shakily, gazing at the crimson magic power dancing in Qin Muye's hand, his expression full of reverence.

"Tell me, which one's favored one are you?"

A layer of crimson crystals appeared over Qin Muye's eyes, covering them; this was the Magic Eye, albeit a crimson version. The real Qin Muye couldn't use it anymore because of the crimson magic power within his body, so he could only reconstruct a novel magic form called Crimson Pupil, inspired by the Magic Eye.

Through the Crimson Pupil, he saw a certain evil presence swirling around Cecil, which, as he killed and consumed human flesh sausages, continually enhanced Cecil's physical capabilities.

It was lucky that he had encountered Qin Muye since a regular person would have probably been split in half by Cecil's boning knife upon contact, and vertically at that.

But based on the other's immediate attempt to flee upon realizing Qin Muye was about to unleash magic, it was clear that Cecil couldn't wield that power at will but only passively.

"Patron? Father Andrew, what are you talking about?" Cecil was perplexed by Qin Muye's words; he was not a patron of any kind.

"Well, if you don't want to talk about it, it's okay; God will forgive your sins."

Cecil was somewhat surprised at what Qin Muye said.

"How merciful God is, willing to save even the stray lamb like myself. I am willing to embrace God and atone for my sins. May God bless you, Father Andrew." Cecil declared decisively, for he was a believer.

Qin Muye, however, spoke calmly, "It is great that you have this intention; prepare yourself, I will send you to meet God."

Cecil's expression changed abruptly, God damn it, sending him to meet God was just a euphemism for wanting him dead, why dress it up in such flowery language?

Before Cecil could react, Qin Muye released a Magic Divine Arrow into his skull, and after that, Crimson Magic spread out, turning Cecil into a crimson crystalline statue.

"Forgiving you is God's business; my job is just to send you to meet Him. Oh... I forgot, I don't believe in God, I hope you can meet the God you believe in," Qin Muye said, somewhat apologetically spreading his hands toward the crimson crystalline statue.

He then observed it carefully; it was his first time using this sort of Crimson Magic Divine

Arrow.

"It seems each Rank of Magic Divine Arrow has its own characteristics. My Crimson ones turn people directly into crystalline statues. It looks like the spread and radiation of Crimson Magic lead to the emergence of the Crimson Disease. Seeing how potent it is, it's pretty

powerful."

Qin Muye had no pity for Cecil, a deranged murderer who had even wanted to feed him human-flesh sausages-one misstep, and maybe he'd have ended up as a sausage himself.

"So this guy probably wasn't a Hunter, more likely a psychopathic murderer wandering the wilderness. But how did he know about me?"

Qin Muye searched the tin shack and quickly discovered a hidden underground room, wondering how it had been excavated.

Upon entering, a nauseating stench of decay hit him, and Qin Muye hurriedly isolated the smell with his Magic Power.

The area of this basement was much larger than the shack, resembling a butcher shop and meat-processing factory, but not for animals-for humans.

A few bodies hung not far away. Three of them had been stripped down to the bone with bits of flesh still clinging to them.

The remaining bodies had long been dead, and those not yet stripped were young people, stylishly dressed, seemingly tourists.

"What bad luck, but to think that people would actually come to tour such a remote place is quite surprising." If it were Qin Muye, he'd certainly never visit such a backwater-look, one false move and lives were lost here.

After rummaging around, he found a cellphone, a pity it was an old model and out of power. But even if it did work, he couldn't make calls; there was no signal in this wilderness. Beyond that, there were no other findings.

"What should I do next?" Qin Muye felt a bit overwhelmed; he wasn't afraid of corpses or

bones, but he needed to go to Akman Town.

"If worse comes to worse, I'll just have to go back the way I came."

"At least it wasn't a total loss; I dealt with a psychopathic murderer, oh, and I acquired a bone

filleting knife."

[Bone Filleting Knife]

[Rank: Intermediate]

[Attribute]

[Deals an additional 107% damage to humanoid creatures]

[Every complete filleting of a humanoid creature's flesh increases extra damage dealt to humanoid creatures by 1%, up to a maximum of 150%]

"If there wasn't a restriction on humanoids, it might be high-level, and about the cap-it's

normal, without it, it would be a Divine Artifact." Qin Muye casually tossed the bone filleting knife into his Equipment, this weapon seemingly a derivative of Cecil's, surrounded by a

sinister aura.

It was this very aura that granted an ordinary bone filleting knife its unique abilities. "The waters run deep here; maybe I'll be able to find out more in Akman Town."
