Chapter 917: Depressions’s Curse
Chapter 917: Depressions’s Curse
Meanwhile, at this time, Lenny had met eyes with Depression and for a few seconds both of them paused. This was most especially true for Depression. She was trying to invade a body and the owner was grinning at her.
She could not help but feel as if she had been led into a trap.
"So that’s what you her!" Lenny commented. At the same time, he waved his hand, and very curvy dagger appeared in it.
Without wasting time, he rolled it in between his fingers in a very experienced manner and struck a blow right at her Temple.
However, The knife only went through her body.
At first, she was afraid because of the look that lenny had given her. however, the moment that she saw that his attack did nothing, she chuckled at him, "Foolish Halfborn! I am a creature not born of the After Truth, weapons that will hurt your mortal bodies will do nothing to me."
However, Lenny’s smile had not left his face, "oh, that is something I can easily tell!" Instantly, he activated his white falmes and it rushed through his hands into the knife.
*SIZZLE!!!* The pretty sound of white flames burning against her ethereal form like it was fried egg sent a strange smoke into the air.
Instantly, she recoiled as she tried to attack back. She was the entity of Depression.
Activating her powers, Lenny suddenly felt as if it was too much trouble to raise a blade against her. The very thought of it made him feel depressed.
However, lenny was not one to ever be in touch with his feelings. He laughed at her, "Unfortunately, for you, I am more in touch with th edge of a blade than I am with my own feelings."
Those were very brazen words accompanied with Lenny’s actions.
As he aimed for her again and again. Till this point, half of her body was still inside him.
Depression was an old entity. She understood that Lenny was no ordinary person. The only advantage she would get in this fight was if he became too depressed to even move. Swaying his emotions beyond the After Truth was her secret weapon.
It was for this reason that she did not leave his body. Besides, she had felt the sting of his pain. If she left his body, she feared the full brute force of his power.
In truth, she knew that she would be finished.
What she needed to do was integrate more of herself into his body, until she had more of him to control, and then all of him to control.
But those words were easier said than done.
She was literally pushing against his soul, trying to invade his body. The moment she could do this, she was sure that she would have won the fight.
Luckily, Lenny’s soul had an incredible defense. However, when she looked into it, she still had a confident smirk on her face. "Hmm! You are only a green Souled creature and you think you can hurt me? I have destroyed stronger souls than you."
Her confidence was ignited the moment she saw the color of his soul.
Lenny stabbed her again and again. However, regardless of her injuries, she still managed to make it into his soul.
She chuckled eerily, "Finally, I made it. I made it in! This is it. The soul of the King of this world. Even Sister Despair will have to bow before me in such a glorious body."
She spread her hands as she diffused her essence into his body like water soaking into form.
"Can you feel it, king of Demeter? Can feel my... Depression!? HAHAHAHA!!!" However, she suddenly paused, her laughter fading into a confused silence.
And then lenny spoke up, "You know, the only depression I have ever felt, is missing a good kill. But thats only if the prey is not before my eyes. Let me aske you Depression, do you think Lunatics feel depression?"
The moment he said this, his white flames ignited within his body. At the same time, Lenny’s mind had looked into the Systems’s market place. Normal blades obviously did not work for such a creature, and even with his white flames, it was taking a lot of time to turn her to dust.
However, Lenny was more than sure that the System had something for entities. Of course, it did.
"Forgive me, depression is a disease I am incapable of having!" Lenny waved his hand, and stabbed the blade right into his chest.
A Sharp sizzling sound was heard as she screamed to the sky. She attempted to leave his body, but it was too late.
She knew this too. "I can’t leave, then I’ll Curse your body!" she muttered in hatred. The rune on the knife Lenny used, glowed in a red light and this red light enveloped depression completely destroying her.
Lenny pulled the knife from his chest and then waved it back into his storage. "Stupid pest!" he commented in disgust. However, a step forward, and he stumbled a bit.
He frowned. And then he looked at the point of his chest that he had stabbed the blade in. To Lenny’s surprise, he was not healing. Lenny frowned. This was not right, after all, he had never been in a situation where he had a wound and he did not heal.
It was one of the many reasons he was as daring as he had always been.
"Satan System! full body scan"
<Scanning...>
<Host cells are infected with depression...>
"Huh!?" That did not seem right. Lenny thought it was better he asked some one with more knowledge.
lenny waved his hand and opened up a portal leading back to the Witch’s territory. The moment he got there, he had Nikky do a scan on his body.
He was hooked up to a complicated machine in Nikky’s lab. After a while, she walked up to him with the results. "I can’t believe I am saying this, but it would seem that your cells are too depressed to heal."
Those words sounded as ridiculous as Lenny had heard them. However, they were true. depression had left her mark.
