Chapter 30 - 30 30 I am Lu Jingyans Lawyer
?Chapter 30: Chapter 30: I am Lu Jingyan’s Lawyer Chapter 30: Chapter 30: I am Lu Jingyan’s Lawyer Bo Mu finally fully came to her senses, unconsciously cursing with a swear word, “You fuckin’—”
With a “smack,” Lu Jingyan slapped her across the face again.
Bo Mu was stunned for a moment, then the next second she screamed and charged at Lu Jingyan.
Bo Mu was no match for Lu Jingyan. Her flailing actions appeared to him as nothing but bluster. It didn’t take long for him to pin her down on the washbasin.
Lu Jingyan picked up the container filled with hand soap beside him and smashed it against the washbasin near Bo Mu’s ear.
Bo Mu covered her head and closed her eyes, scared pale.
Lu Jingyan’s hand was halfway down when someone grabbed his wrist.
She turned her head.
It was Sheng Xian.
Her expression was cold and frightening, a gloomy light flickering in her eyes.
She blinked at him, smiling, “What are you doing here?”
As if the person filled with rage a second ago wasn’t her.
Sheng Xian didn’t speak, just pulled her away from Bo Mu, standing between them.
He stood in front of Bo Mu, looking like he was protecting her.
Lu Jingyan’s anger reignited instantly, “You’re protecting her?”
Sheng Xian didn’t respond, her voice low and faint, “Go back to your room.”
Lu Jingyan stood still, “You see her crying and think she’s pitiful, and she’s right, isn’t she?”
Sheng Xian frowned slightly, repeating her words sternly, “Go back to your room.”
Lu Jingyan crossed her arms over her chest, her chin up and her back ramrod straight, refusing to move.
Sheng Xian closed her eyes briefly, then through her clothes, grabbed her arm and started pulling her out.
“I’m not leaving, why should I?”
“Sheng Xian, why do you always stop me? Go stop her.”
“Don’t you know? In a fight, you should hold the other person, so I can hit her a few more times.”
“Sheng Xian—”
Lu Jingyan’s voice grew increasingly louder in frustration.
“What’s going on?” Chen Kai, coming out of the men’s restroom and seeing Bo Mu’s bloody nose, was startled, then hurriedly followed the sound of Lu Jingyan’s voice.
Sheng Xian stopped, pushing Lu Jingyan towards Chen Kai, “Take her upstairs, back to her room, and don’t let her come out.”
Although Chen Kai didn’t fully understand the situation, he deeply respected and feared his cousin, who was not related by blood. His cousin’s word was law to him. And although he was scared of Madam Lu Jingyan, without comparison there was no harm; he unhesitatingly followed his cousin’s orders, grabbing Lu Jingyan by the shoulders and ushering her towards the elevator.
Only after the two had entered the elevator did Sheng Xian turn and head back to the restroom.
Bo Mu had already straightened up, leaning against the washbasin; she watched Sheng Xian enter, then lowered her head and cried even more fiercely.
Sheng Xian pulled some tissues from the dispenser and handed them to Bo Mu, “Are you okay?”
Bo Mu, in a low voice, said “Thank you,” took the tissues, wiped her tears and the blood off her face, and while she did so, she stole glances at Sheng Xian, “It wasn’t me who provoked her, she just came at me unreasonably at first; we had some conflicts in school but everyone in our class had problems with her, it wasn’t my fault, it’s her…”
“Miss Bo.” Sheng Xian’s voice was very faint as she interrupted her.
Bo Mu bit her lip, tears streaming down.
Sheng Xian looked at her pitiful appearance, her expression dispassionately unemotional, “Let’s settle this privately.”
Bo Mu opened her mouth, looking slightly stunned, “Hmm?”
“I said, the matter of her hitting you just now, let’s settle it privately,” Sheng Xian glanced at Bo Mu, “How much money, I’ll compensate you.”
Bo Mu pressed her lips together, understanding Sheng Xian’s intention.
Sheng Xian just stood in front of her not to protect her but to let the capricious lady get away first.
His question about whether she was okay was not out of concern for her; he was merely handling the aftermath.
Bo Mu felt somewhat aggrieved, “Even if it’s settling privately, it should be between her and me; she should come to me, not you, you have no right to speak for her, you…”
Sheng Xian drew a business card, placed it on the washbasin, and slowly pushed it towards Bo Mu, “Let me introduce myself, I am Lu Jingyan’s lawyer.”
“For anything, you can talk directly with me.”
Bo Mu bit her lip, “Are you in love with her?”
Sheng Xian acted as if she hadn’t heard her, her voice calm, “According to procedure, I’ll now arrange for someone to immediately take you to the hospital for a thorough examination.”
…
Sheng Xian stood at the hotel lobby entrance, watching as Bo Mu was hurriedly driven away by an assistant, before finally taking out her phone to call Chen Kai.
Chen Kai answered the call, and before Sheng Xian could speak, she could hear Lu Jingyan’s voice through the phone, “Chen Kai, if it were you, if I got into a fight, would you help me?”
“Help help help, not just help, I’d risk my life for you.” After Chen Kai answered Lu Jingyan, he greeted into the phone.
Lu Jingyan was relentless, “Then why won’t your cousin help me? Is it because I’m not as pretty as that vixen, or don’t have a figure like hers? Your cousin’s taste really sucks, liking that kind of tea ceremony master.”
Sheng Xian: “…”
Chen Kai greeted again.
Sheng Xian asked, “Which room?”
Chen Kai: “2021.”
Lu Jingyan: “Your cousin is just an uppercase bold scumbag, not only a jerk but also can’t discern women; what’s so good about Bo Mu, is it just because she can cry? Give me a few bottles of eye drops, I could cry too…”
Sheng Xian expressionlessly hung up the phone.
Putting away the phone, Sheng Xian turned and walked into the hotel lobby, walked a few steps, then exited again, heading to a nearby pharmacy.
