The CEO's Wife Is A Demon God's Daughter

Chapter 918 918: Rejection

Chapter 918 918: Rejection

Flint was caught by surprise when he heard that sudden confession from Cassie. He couldn't utter a word for several seconds. He was just staring at her with a startled look on his face.

He felt her grip tighten on his elbow and Flint was forced to turn his body around to face her. Her eyes shone with sincerity. She professed her feelings toward Flint.

Flint couldn't understand why Cassie was telling him this. They hadn't known each other for so long. How come she was claiming that she liked him so much?

He raised his hand, reaching for hers, trying to remove her hand that was gripping her elbow. He moved his head from left to right as if he was telling her that she couldn't do this.

"Miss Cassie… let me remind you that I am your trainer here. You can't do this. Kissing you is truly a mistake!" Flint felt like his heart clenched inside his chest. He didn't want to be harsh on her but they had to face the truth. He liked someone else.

"I'll be honest with you. I love someone. So stop this already." Flint pushed her away from his body.

His words were like arrows shooting into her heart. She clenched her fists, trying to calm her emotion. But her lips trembled and her tears fell from the corners of her eyes.

Flint moved toward the door, turning the knob as he opened it. Justine was surprised to see Flint's dark expression. He was supposed to ask him what was wrong when suddenly Flint dragged him along with him, leaving his quarters.

Before he turned around, he saw Cassie shedding tears. He didn't like Justine to see Cassie in that emotional state.

Though Flint was not able to give her punishment tonight, rejecting her feelings was like a form of punishment for Cassie.

"What should I do now, Scarlet? Should I just give up on him? He already told me that he loves someone else. It was a slap on my face. I raise my expectations. I assumed things… now… I ended up being hurt so bad," Cassie mumbled, clenching her shirt.

Scarlet showed up to comfort Cassie. She hugged her, rubbing her back and stroking her hair. "Don't be sad. At least, you've shared your real feelings for him. If he didn't want to accept it then it's his loss. Lots of men out there… This is not the end of the world, Cassie.

You will also find your one true love, just like your dad finding your mom after his heartbreak."

Cassie wiped her tears using the back of her hand. Then she nodded her head. Scarlet had a point.

"Scarlet… Do you think my presence will just become an annoyance to Flint? Should I leave the training camp by tomorrow?" Cassie consulted her fire dragon.

"But I thought you liked to become a member of Fiery Eagles, why are you quitting now?" Scarlet questioned her in disbelief.

"I want to become a member because of Flint… but now I don't think I can still continue this," Cassie mumbled, lowering her gaze as she hid her sullen expression from Scarlet.

"Of course, you can! You promised your gramps that you would become a certified Fiery Eagles." Scarlet wanted to encourage her.

"I want to see Gramps. I missed them… my grandparents… I wanna go home…"

"Then let's go home! You can teleport right?" Scarlet's voice was filled with excitement. She missed Blue. FaMo and Miho were not around so she could only bond with Blue.

In just a blink of an eye, Cassie and Scarlet disappeared in Flint's quarters. They teleported to TrisZhen Villa. The two got surprised when they found out that there was a mini-gathering in the house.

"Cassie? Is that you?" A soft female voice was heard from behind. When Cassie turned around, she was greeted by Ella's charming face.

"Aunt Ella! You are back!" Cassie ran in her direction, pulling Ella into a warm hug.

"You've grown so much," Ella mumbled after breaking the hug.

"Yes," Cassie responded with a soft giggle. Ella joined her as they laughed together.

The two were still laughing when Christian and Zu Wan approached them. Christian couldn't believe that his sister left the training camp. She was not supposed to be here.

"Come, let's eat! Mom, prepared something tonight!" Ella invited her. She was so glad to be with Cassie. They were so close together.

Christian wanted to ask his twin sister why she returned home but Ella already dragged her away, going to the dining area. Grandpa Lu was also surprised to see Cassie in the house.

"Gramps, I think Cassie used her teleportation ability to sneak out of the training camp," Christian said, informing Grandpa Lu.

"Hmm, I see. Just let her stay. Besides, Ella is here. These two ladies have a lot of catching up to do."

Christian could only nod at his great-grandpa's remarks. The family gathered at one large table, eating together. When they were done, Ella dragged Cassie and Christian to the garden. She wanted to bond with the twins.

"How are you both?" Ella asked them enthusiastically.

"We are fine. I'm busy managing the company now," Christian answered her.

Meanwhile, Cassie began pouring out her feelings to her closest friends– Christian and Ella. They were her family and at the same time, her friends.

"The person I like… doesn't like me back… so I'm not fine… I'm so sad."

Christian and Ella exchanged glances with one another. They remained silent, just allowing Cassie to share her feelings with them.

"But… he kissed me back! How could he tell me it doesn't mean anything to him? It happened not only once!"

Ella: "..."

Christian: 0_0

Christian had the urge to scold his sister but he couldn't do that in front of Ella. He didn't expect that Cassie would be so bold enough to kiss Flint. And what did she say? He kissed her back but he told his sister it meant nothing?

An anger surged up in Christian's heart. He felt sorry for his sister. 'I want to punch that guy!'
