Chapter 923 923: She Wanted to Go
Chapter 923 923: She Wanted to Go
Flint summoned Justine and Eleven to his quarters only to scold them and lecture them on what they should do and what they should not do in the training camp.
He couldn't believe that the two just confessed their feelings to one of the applicants. What if their personal feelings would get in the way of the selection of the new members of the Fiery Eagles?
But he was surprisingly so mad about this and he didn't know why. Was it because the woman who was involved in this was the same woman who confessed to him last night?!
Damn! He had just rejected her. And why does he care if the two men confess their feelings for Cassie? He didn't have the right to judge them and get mad like this. But he couldn't control his temper.
"Ten… Eleven… you should consider her situation. If anyone learns about this, she can get in trouble. They will think that you are going to help Applicant 0018 to become an official member of Fiery Eagles because you both like her!"
Justine and Eleven just exchanged glances with one another. Cassie's alibi helped them hide the truth about their identities to Flint. However, they got in trouble as a member of the Training Team.
They could understand Flint's reasoning. It's just that, they were surprised to see him getting worked up over this situation. No need to reprimand them. He could just report them to their superiors.
'Or perhaps… he is jealous?' Eleven pondered to himself as he assessed Flint's reaction.
"Ninth… are you jealous?" Eleven asked him out of the blue.
Justine glanced at his partner with disbelief. How could he ask him that while Flint was still reprimanding them?
Meanwhile, Flint was caught off guard by that sudden question. Of course not! He would never admit that he was jealous! Yes. He was Not Jealous at all!
"What are you saying, Eleven?" Flint scowled at him, raising his eyebrow.
Eleven just zipped his mouth and shrugged his shoulders. He just wanted Flint to forget what he had just said.
"Nothing. If you want you can tell our Superiors to remove us as part of the training team. We can go back to the headquarters now," Eleven suggested.
Justine looked at him, understanding what Eleven was trying to do. If they go back to the Headquarters, they could check Liam's condition. They needed to see him.
Flint was still undecided about what to do about them. They were already lacking manpower. Why did the two of them suddenly get entangled with an applicant?
But Flint had no right to question them. To think about it, he also got involved with her. He kissed her several times. And then he rejected her when she confessed her feelings.
'Wait! Don't tell me she will use these two men to get back at me?' Flint's expression darkened further.
Just last night, Cassie confessed to him. He would assume that she was not sincere if ever she would accept either one of the two men.
"Let me think about it first. But for now, you are prohibited to see or visit Applicant 0018!" Flint declared to them in his stone-cold voice.
"Yes, Sir!"
"Yes, Sir!"
The two men answered in unison. It did not take long before Flint finally dismissed the two. After leaving Flint's quarters, Eleven made a suggestion.
"Justine, why don't you go back to the headquarters and visit our former guardian leader? You are a healer. You can examine the severity of the curse given to him by Head Shaman, Mheera."
Justine nodded his head in agreement. "Alright. I'm going to visit our Guardian Leader."

Meanwhile, in the Red Team's quarters, Cassie was spacing out. She was still thinking about the revelation she got from Eleven and Justine. Surprisingly, they were asking for her help. And she could see this opportunity to cure Liam.
"My Mom and Dad are not around… I'm the only person here who has some power. My twin brother already lost his power so he must not be allowed to go to the other realm." Cassie was thinking whether to hide this from Christian or not.
She wasn't sure if her grandfather, Zu Wan, would also allow her to leave and go to the other world. But for some unknown reason, she wanted to take this adventure and help them cure Liam.
She believed that the guardian warriors might have the solution to break the curse on Liam.
"I must talk to Christian and grandpa… and convince them." Cassie finally made up her mind.
Since Eleven and Justine told her that they were running out of time, Cassie decided to meet her brother tonight, along with their grandpa. She would ask their permission and explain to them the situation.
She was thinking that if she would help the guardian warriors, they would finally stop thinking that their bloodline was not evil.
Then Cassie thought about Flint. He was also one of her driving forces why she wanted to leave and go to the other world. Perhaps, she would be able to move on and forget about Flint if she would keep herself busy in the other world.
When nighttime came, Cassie sneaked out of the sleeping quarters, teleporting to the TrisZhen Villa. Christian and Grandpa Lu were hanging out in the balcony playing chess when Cassie appeared.
"Brother! Great Grandpa!" Cassie called them out excitedly. She traced her steps toward them. She hugged Grandpa Lu as soon as she reached his spot.
"My sweet Cassie, why are you here?" Grandpa Lu asked her in confusion.
"You snuck out of the training camp again…" Christian shook his head helplessly.
"Yes. I have to see you. Where's grandpa Xu? This is something urgent…"
Grandpa Lu and Christian were taken aback when they heard that. It looked like this was something serious as they could see in Cassie's expression.
"I will call your grandpa to come here," Grandpa Lu said, picking up his phone.
"C'mon… What is this all about Cassandra?" Christian could no longer wait as he already wanted to hear what Cassie was about to say.
"Guardian warriors are here…" She paused. "And they are asking for our help!"
Christian: "..."
Grandpa Lu: "..."
